The Khanyisa Psychoactive Healing Garden

A Better Life through Traditional Knowledge

South Africa’s wealth in psychoactive healing plants remains poorly studied, and there is great potential for us to use these plants healing properties to better manage the rising stresses of modern day living.

This has inspired Jean-Francois Sobiecki, a South African ethnobotanist (medicinal plant researcher), to create the Khanyisa psychoactive healing garden project to document and preserve South Africa’s traditional medicinal psychoactive plant knowledge and provide a unique space for healing with holistic medicine. See http://www.khanyisagarden.co.za/ for the latest on the project. Jean is incepting an NPO in order to attract international support and collboration for ethnopharmacology studies as well as healing projects around traditional medicines from the garden. Details on his NPO will be made available shortly. Watch this space.

Jean launched an Indiegogo crowd-funding campaign to raise awareness for this project in 2013 that was well received. See the project’s Indiegogo Campaign @ http://igg.me/p/399611/x/3162024
